whatsup peeps

Im planning on buying some headphones, im looking at the :

Thermaltake eSport Shock Gaming headet

Corsair Vengeance 1300 Headset

what do you guys recommend between the 2? or any others in the same price range (max R700)?

I have the Corsair Vengeance, dont regret getting it,sounds is very nice and its comfy, cant really comment on the mic tho since I dont play bf anymore :(

I've been a supporter of Kave's but I think its time some notes are taken on them.

Roccat Kaves used to be the best value for money gaming headset, but since the price got pushed up by R200 awhile ago they have unfortunately lost that title and the plot for that matter. Who in their right mind spends R800-R900 on Kaves when they cost around R600-R650 less than a year ago. Kaves are decent, they are great for gaming and listening to music, especially if you're into club/dance/techno/hip hop as they offer insane bass, but at the current price point I would not buy them.

I would say the Corsair Vengeance 1300 are the new holder of the bang for buck gaming headset. Think they sell for between R550 and R650...the price point the Kaves owned...untill they went crazy.

I have a pair of philips headsets. They are amazing with their 80mm drivers. For R99, the quality is awesome. No mic though. But I don't care for a mic.

Mmm, R99 headphones....

So. I did some surfin'. I found an interesting page over at RebelTech and more interesting listings at Wootware to get a feel for what's out there.

Notable mentions are the Razer Characias and Skullcandy Gi as well as the Dell Alienware TactX.... I'm leaning towards the Corsair ones myself. They're looking good. For R700 they can't be beaten.

The Corsair Vengeance 1300 is listed at RebelTech for R630 so I'd get them from there ;)

Edit: Scratch that -- its R603 Listing...

if you are looking for just audio, i would recommend Senheiser. I would give the shocks a miss though and either get the corsair, or if you want to go elitist get the steelseries H5. if you have money to throw away, got for wither the SS H7 or the siberia V2

Max R700

Haha I am also a ROCCAT Kave fan, never had any probs with it.

Btw Analogue>digital headsets IMO. Kaves have true 5.1 where Logitech's is simulated IMO
