Gaming Industry calls for PS3 price cut

They should cut the price on the games as well...they really kill my pocket, so much so that i'd rather buy games for my Xbox and just use the PS3 for Blueray movies....

Games on each system are evenly priced more or less.
Its the console itself that's the problem

There your problem you buy mostly previously play, there a couple of companies in cape town that trade your old games for a new at a cost. I dont do it myself as i collect games. And anyway in comparison Xbox games are expensive as they cost similairly to PS3 versions.
 
A price cut...LOL!!
Sony is already losing money on every single Ps3 they produce, so a price cut is out of the question!!
 
Do you think SONY made a mistake in specifying a BluRay drive for the PS3? Is it not one of the more expensive components?

They made a huge mistake, yes its helped them sell more Ps3's but its pushed the price through the roof. Makes you wonder how much they lose on each and every console they sell:eek:
 
Will the gaming companies involved drop prices on their games as well? It's not only the console that's prohibitively expensive.

Last I heard they were making a loss of $50 for every console that is sold.

Don't understand how they could, or would, be making a price cut. They will make even less profit.

Yeah...I doubt this price cut will ever happen mate, I can't see them losing more money on these consoles.
