Gaming Monitor for R3000

Sorry to make another topic about this but I need some suggestions and soon. Want to go monitor shopping this Saturday but no idea really what to get. Was thinking of the Samsung BX2450 though (trying for LED), but any other suggestions? Mainly for PS3 and 360 gaming, and also PC use I suppose which doesn't matter as much.

Place around Pretoria/Joburg would also be nice so I can go pick it up myself
 
Hell why not get a Samsung 32" LA32c550 TV which goes for around R3500 if you can scramble another R500.
 
Well I'm going to buy a telly at price range of R7000 end of the year, but I want a separate monitor first to mess around with.
 
The BX2450 is about R2500 at Incredible Connection. (Strangely the cheapest place).

But yeah, go with the TV. It has an IPS panel anyways which is much better.
 
Menlyn Park definitely, that's where I got mine. But I think they all have them, it's quite a popular monitor.
 
If you could scramble another R932 SA Rond, you could get the Samsung 27" from PC International in Randburg. That would be my choice.

Eish so I rang Incredible Connection and they said the bx2450 has been discontinued and they have no stock. would love to go over budget but cant really atm. going to try look up some other samsung leds, not sure if there's gonna be any other in my budget though.
 
I would have IPS over led backlit any day of the month. I had a specialized NEC gaming monitor (R14000 at the time) and I have been spoiled... It is very hard for me to look at a TN monitor the same way.

Great stuff ! I went from a 17" CRT to a 24" LED myself and I couldn't stop admiring it for about a month :D
