Gaming Performance Comparison

I have found the barebone laptop of my dreams and am still undecided about which CPU to choose. The options are:
-Core i7-2630M Quad Core 2.0GHz 6MB Cache
-Core i5-2410M Dual Core 2.3GHz 3MB Cache*

What are the differences (if any) I can expect between these two processors in gaming applications?

Edit: the price difference is ~R750 (R2647.00 - R1884.00).
It's also probably worth mentioning that the GPU is a Nvidia GT 540m 1gig DDR3

In light of the low-spec GPU, don't waste too much money on CPU.
Go for the cheaper option.

The GPU would only hold the CPU back as it is. Laptop specs are different to Desktop, as a lot of sacrifices to power need to be made in the interest of size and economy.

But, if you must know, IN MY PERSONAL OPINION, the i7 is most likely the faster/stronger choice.
