I'll buy it to complete the trilogy but the reason I think theyre not trying to push the boundaries is why mess with a winning formula. on the other hand though I think the unreal Tournament 3 engine is starting to show its age even with the 3.25/3.5 updates they've added when gears 2 came out there was still a few slowdowns. i think epic has gone for a good graphics fast framerate formula instead of a great graphics jerky framerate one.

PS the new armour sucks though !

Heh, we can't possibly disagree about everything, you know. ;) And yeah, the Gears of War series is pretty much the best thing on Xbox, and probably my two favourite games ever in terms of sheer, exhilirating entertainment. I really am a superfan - I've got most of the action figures, my own COG tags, and a t-shirt I imported all the way from the States (which I happen to be wearing today, actually).

I simply cannot wait for Gears of War 3. It's an intolerable eternity between now and next April. ;_;
 
The thing I loved about the first game was the final battle with RAAM. Geez what a great feeling it was killing him on Insane! Gears 2 didn't give me that feeling of accomplishment, I want a kickass final boss!! I'm glad to see Beserkers are back :D

I agree gears 2 was easy compared to 1 imo
 
The final boss, um, "battle" of Gears 2 was a joke, but generally, Insane difficulty was significantly harder in the sequel.
