I don't think the new 3D is for making things pop at you, it seems to work better as a tool that adds "depth" and realism to a game or movie. If you don't notice it, then it's working. I also don't think it works well on live-action stuff, but 3D films and games look amazing.

only problem I would have with 3D is I play games for looong periods of time until my eyes hurt (and I still don't wear glasses lol) so playing it in 3D will hurt my eyes even more I reckon (coz I will not play for a shorter while lol)
