Gears of War 3 vs. Uncharted 3

I think this is the best answer to this thread. A doubt this thread is going to change any-ones mind on which is the better game. Its down to personal preference. They both great games.
 
If I could, I'd play both. But unfortunately one console is all I can afford at this point. Unless Epic decided to bring Gears back to PC. :D

Own both Uncharted 1 & 2 so 3 is definitely my pick, but have also completed GO=ears 1 & 2 & they were great games! If I had a 360 I would get 3 as well no doubt. But as mentioned before you can't really compare the 2 as Gears is a straight forward 3rd person shooter (best I've played) & uncharted is action/adventure. Both are best in their genres IMO!
 
Not a good war to get involved in that's for sure! :D they both are looking to be very promising games so yeah...don't fight :P
 
I played both Gears 1 and Gears 2, awesome games.

Now I wish I actually had a PS3 too so I could play Uncharted. It's been one of the few games I've always wanted to play but never had a chance to.
 
I loved Gears 1, but haven't played 2 yet. Uncharted, well what can I say, it's in a different class. Probably one of the best games ever, completely balanced between everything you need in a game eg. story, action etc.
Can't wait for Uncharted 3!!
 
just about the only thing these games have in common is the "third person cover based action adventure shooter with male protagonists" genre they fall in...

for me its a case of getting them both :) i am a platform agnostic gamer!
 
Uncharted 3 any day. I'm over Gears. I also don't have Live Gold anymore so I couldn't be bothered with Gears MP. I reckon UC3 MP will be good in any case. Fully customizable weapons etc...
 
get both, different genre's.
Uncharted is more like tomb raider, albeit tons better in terms of puzzles and gameplay

Gears is a awesome third person shooter with amazing co-op
 
Look to be honest, i found gears of war 2 quiete fun, but ive played all the uncharted games that are available...
The action and adventure of those games, is unbelievable.
I really think that uncharted 3 drakes deception will take the cake for this year :P
And besides if you have a 3d tv, they planning to do stereoscopic 3d in that game, so that means if ur buddy comes over, you each will have a biig tv screen to yourself even though its 1 tv :)
Just like killzone 3, bet xbox cant do that :P
 
i dunno hey... im voting gears here. its got in your face action gore and the multiplayer......... the multiplayer lans are uncharted ;)
 
You can't really compare the two games as they are from completely different genres and each game focuses on a different aspect of gaming.
Gears of War focuses heavy on gun mechanics.
Uncharted 3 focuses on story and platforming with some shooting going on.

If you want to do a cross-platform exclusive comparison, rather compare the coming Resistance 3 and Halo 4. These two at least have the genre in common. This is just a thread to spark conflict.

If you're a fan of shooting thing and making things go boom and watching red juice fly, Gears of War wins.
If you're a fan of brilliant story telling, decent platforming, occasional puzzles and good gun play, Uncharted 3 wins.

If you're a gamer, you win with both!
 
Well both are flag ship games but they are very different making comparison difficult but I would def say unchartered as well!
 
lol super hyped for both games now

both betas were wicked and i know SP is gonna be legendary on both in their own ways..
