General gaming chit chat.

Well the easiest way is usually to plug your PC into your TV. "whistling:
Good grief, I'm a dof chop. In all honesty, that never once occurred to me. Probably because I wouldn't consider dragging my rig from the study to the the TV room, but still, I feel well stupid.

Geez, it's been a long week. I'm going to drink beer now.

I know this title as spoken with some really high regard, it has been on my wishlist for ages now and this weekend was a free weekend. So I gave Skullgirls a bash and.... I really didn't enjoy it. Love the art style and music, but gameplay wise, I really didn't have fun and didn't gel with me.

Ya I gave it a try but was reminded of how utterly useless I am at fighting games. The tutorial is excellent albeit a bit overwhelming. When I couldn't pull of the required combo after trying at it for at least 15min I figured I wasn't going to do so well.

I don't think I know anyone that actually uses the "Big Picture" mode in Steam
I've tried it and it is really nice if you're using a controller. If you use your tv to game and you're using a controller then big picture is definitely the way to go.

But yeah, since I only use steam on my pc sitting in front of my monitor, I never use it.

I'm seriously looking to buy Elder Scrolls Online for PS4, but I'm scared that the local community won't be in on it. How many of you guys are actually considering buying it for PS4?

Definitely not me. You can also try and find out if the community at SAGamer are interested

Considering the popularity of the franchise I'm sure there will be a substantial amount of SA players. I personally won't be buying it as I just don't have the time for these kind of 'endless' games.

Will give it a try, thanks.

I'm sure I'll find a few. Was hoping to get a mature group to join. I always end up with a friend list full of 14 year olds.

Serves me right for accepting friend requests from Call of Duty lobbies :)

The hard truth is those are guys who have plenty of time to game. The older, working guys are like shadows in the night.

Has anyone tried a little game called Factorio? It's not on Steam as the game is still in Alpha, but it has a demo, and the demo is massively fun! Also some high recommendations from some of my favourite Youtubers as well.

Here is the link to their site if you want to try the demo for free.

The basic premise of the game is that you have to build automated systems, or factories, of various kinds to gather resources as you are stranded on a alien planet. You have to battle these aliens as well, along with balancing your systems, resources and stuff. It's really fun!!

On Kickstarter I see that The Bard's Tale IV is raising funds and should reach their goal of $1,250,000 with ease and time to spare.

Also noticed that the original Bard's Tale Trilogy is now free for all their backers.

Never seen any of their stuff, so I might just put in something to some free stuff :wtf:

And which brings me to another point... is their any thread/s dedicated to previews of new games?

I have a friend who wants all the ass creeds, but I can get him 1 for his bday during this sale, which one should I grab him

Apparently Black Flag is the best of all of them. Otherwise, which one was the last one that he played? Maybe get the one just after.

Then I'd say either Black Flag if you want to get him the best one or the first Assassin's Creed if he is going to start from the beginning. :)
