Hi Everyone.

I want to set up a registered computer business as I need to be able to buy wholesale. I wanted to know what the best way of going about this would be. I am based in Cape Town and I know about Frontosa, but what other wholesalers would you recommend? Do I need a VAT number or should I just register and start filling out the forms :p

Any help will be appreciated :D

Thanks.

P.S I didn't know where to post this.

Frontosa / Rectron / Axiz / Pinnacle / Tarsus / Drive Control - the list just goes on. Depends on what you want to be selling.

As for setting up the paper work for the business, talk to an accountant or audit firm, they will be able to help with the registration etc as well as with the SARS legal stuff.

VAT is not required, if you have it then you can claim VAT back from your purchases and also allow your clients to claim it back again. This is important to businesses but if you don't have it it won't stop you. There are a lot of important factors and things you MUST be aware of when selling items so make sure you get someone to explain all the TAX details to you before you start!

As for registration with wholesalers, just go in and grab a registration form :)
