Getting stuck.

Thought of this during the weekend. How many times has it happend, that you play through a game without hassles, then some time later you play the same game again and get stuck at certain spots. Meaning either cannot remember what to do, or its so difficult that you can't think how you ever did it so easy, as the previous playtrough you remember getting through the same spot without any hassles.

Prime example. Need For Speed Most Wanted.

The first time I played through this game, I finished EVERY SINGLE RACE (medium) without having to restart it, call it pure luck, but I did not have to restart a race once due to losing. Some time later, think it was allmost a year, I replayed the game. The second last racer you challenge, I think it was the one with the lamborghini gallardo. For the life of me I could not beat that guy, no matter what I did, I just kept on failing, failing failing. Struggled to beat that guy for about 2 hours before I beat him :/

Another one is Portal. I remember when I first got it with orange box. I finished Episode 1, Episode 2 and Portal in 1 day. The other day I tried my luck at Portal again, and could not get through the 2nd last level without cheating (noclip). I was stuck there for easily 3-4 hours, gave up, used noclip and completed the game.

Most of the Silent hill games puzzles keep me busy for a while for example the hangman puzzle in Silent hill 2.I hate games with glitches that prevent you from progressing though.Got stuck on Timeshift with those pipes that flames are coming out.How the heck was I supposed to know you have to use slow instead of rewind and pause haha not that long though but I couldve taken less time to figure that out.All the Final fantasy's as well.Didnt take my time to play it right and level up etc and never finished most of them until recently.There's lotsa games I get stuck on.Will add more when I remember.

this happened to me on Tomb raider Underworld the other day I put it on after a long time and the first stage the water dive I could not find the dam key ,so I searched and ,couldnt understand how the hell I did it the first time , I then downloaded a walktrough ....

I have a potential explanation for your problem : You were using a different car and/or setup the first time around.

Yeah happen to me with MGS4 I forgot all the keys under the replay... I couldn't shoot was very funny cause i was running away from the people figuring it out.
