GFWL Marketplace

As Fatal As Cyanide
I downloaded GFWL (Marketplace), but I'm unable to create an offline account. When I press home that GFWL Tab should appear on top(centre) of the screen, but nothing happens. Can anyone help me with this?? I downloaded GFWL an older version but it insists on updating to that marketplace crap!! It won't sign me in on GFWL until I've installed that mp kak!!

I think you need to explain yourself a little better.

What game are you trying to play?
Where are pressing the Home key?
What exactly is an offline account, and account is an account, there are no extra charges to go online.

When I download GFWL, it downloads what I assume is only Games for Windows Live, but it downloads Games for Windows Marketplace. Hitting the 'Home' key, is supposed to bring down a GFWL tab, through which I can create and access my offline account. The game I trying to get it working with is GTA IV. When I last had GTA IV installed GFWL worked perfectly. And I'm trying to access the 'Multiplayer' 'Freemode', but everytime I select 'Freemode' it loads, but then tells me 'Disconnected from game session'. So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I downloaded an older version of it, but it has to do an update or the GFWL windows just closes.

GFWL sucks, period. Completely re-install GFWL, then go into the game and let it update that way.

Nevermind this, I'm tired of downloading the same things over and over just to get to the same bloody spot!

I hit 'Cancel' during update
Try NOT doing that and let it update. Then once it's updated just sign in to your offline account. Even if the account is offline it still won't let you play with an old version of GFWL.

Sounds to me like you are just giving yourself grief, I have a number of games that use GFWL and have never had a problem with any of them.

The games are not the problem its GFWL thats the problem.Since Even if you have marketplace updated it still wants you to update it ingame for some unknown reason.

Your first mistake was canceling the update. Do a clean install of GFWL and let it update it might take 10min or 2 hours. When you want to create a offline account you got ot scroll down and at the bottom of the page is where you can make a offline account.

I now did a clean install of gfwl, i cannot update it through the game, cos when i click on the 'LIVE' selection in the 'GAME' tab in the pause menu, nothing happens. I'm not able to sign in to the Games for Windows LIVE account 'Window' that appears when you want to sign in, Im instead greeted by an 'Automatic Update' windows alongside the GFWL Sign In windows, tell me to update. Once it was updated, it opens up a GFWMarketplace Sign In window, and not a GFWLIVE Sign In window. And without that window, an offline account is not possible.

Sounds like my experience with Dirt 3. Only with this particular title, you have to have an online account to create a profile, otherwise you can't save your progress. Therefore, creating an offline account (like I did with RE5 and Dirt 2) is not an option. The mandatory update failed on every time for about three days, so eventually I just said fcuk it and returned the game.
I also sent an email to MS asking them if they're aware that everyone hates GFWL.

So since none of this is helping or working. Does anybody know how I can connect to GFWL using GFWMarketplace?

I may have resolved this issue. when i patched the game up to the last patch, it removes the needfor having RGSC. And in order to have gfwl working in-game, it needs SC and gfwl redist, cos they go hand-in-hand.
