GFX Upgrade Time Help and thoughts

So it is pretty much that time again after a long while , at the stage where I should be upgrading my GFX card .

Been having a look at the GTX 950 OC but only cause its under R3000.00 which is more or less the range I am aiming for time to use up some eBucks .

Thoughts and recommendations would be helpful preferably Nvidia have not had the best experience with ATI had to downgrade to a GTX 470 after endless issues with my ATi Card .
Make is no issue though .
 
Dont want to break the bank but willing to stretch out for something else if its worth it .
 
Then go 960/970 depending on what you can afford. If you're not absolutely hell bent on a Maxwell based card though

You can always get a 770 or 780 which will slot in between the 970 and 960 from a performance perspective
 
780 seems out of my Reach im not wanting to spend R6000 +
I think around R3500 to R4000 max

No you're spot on Bud , for some reason I thought it would be in the same price range , Till I searched a bit and 6000 to 8000 so no

I have had a long sabbatical from gaming , So I want to basically play Rise of the Tomb Raider , Star wars and Comfortably and BF4

Then your best bet is to get an Xbox One :p
 
i would say get a GTX 960 im extremely happy on my decision to get one of those cards and its whisper quiet and cool it idles at 30 - 35 deg most of the time, quite a powerful card, can do most games at 1080p with ease.

Or if you're willing to spend a tad more get a GTX 970...
