"GG (not so) EZ" - Game Trolls

I'm sure you've had it before - after a hard fought, well balanced multiplayer match you unfortunately lose the game. Most of comments come in: "gg" (Good Game) and then some troll puts in an extra 2 letters "gg ez" (American: ee zee)

More often it comes after you had a terrible game and the other team stomped over you - you're frustrated but what really makes your blood boil is that simple "ez"

If you can relate, join me for a laugh as you see what Blizzard has done in the latest Overwatch test patch:

Blizzard snuck a hilarious gag into the patch that hit the Overwatch public test realm today. The change automatically edits the text chat of anyone who types a certain phase into the match channel—don't worry, you'll only be affected if you're a jerk.

As Eurogamer noticed, if you type "gg ez" (as in, "good game, easy win") and hit enter, your text will instantly output a random response created by Blizzard. The swapped text lines range from sportsmanlike to outright self-deprecating:

"Well played. I salute you all."

"For glory and honor! Huzzah comrades!"

"I'm wrestling with some insecurity issues in my life but thank you all for playing with me."

"It's past my bedtime. Please don't tell my mommy."

"Gee whiz! That was fun. Good playing!"

"I feel very, very small... please hold me..."

Pretty clever and quite entertaining. At the moment it's only on the Public Test Servers but may make it into the official patch.

So have you any funny/frustrating stories of annoying trolls?

Few things piss me off as much as 'gg ez' trolls. Especially because they tend to be on the bottom rungs of their team's scoreboard or have <1 k/d ratios.

It's just such a petty thing to do.

Very true.

I also get annoyed at myself because even though I know they are trolling it still gets me worked up.
 
I wouldnt mind if blizzard actually change the plain gg ones to the "nicer" ones. would make the end game stuff worth reading, better than just gg spams :)

If they playing badly and they are at the bottom of the leader board then nothing they say bothers me.
The proof is in the pudding.
