Ok so a few weeks ago i recieved a fine in the mail of R400 (doing 84 in a 60 zone) that is due for payment tomorrow, however when i try to login at viewfines.co.za it says i have no outstanding fines against my name and when i enter the notice number it also cant find anything, what should i do cause i dont know if the fine is still valid or not and im sure as hell not going to pay R400 for something that might be void.
 
I paid mine 3days late @ easy-pay points. And they never complained ;)
Isn't there an enquiry number there u can phone tomm?

Did the paper look fake?
I got one with supposedly from 2006, the signature was photocopied on and it looked like someone with bad MS word skills.

Mine didn't look like a usual fine paper and it was suppose to be a warning, those are usually red all over aren't they?

I smell a scam
 
Yeh its the same here if it doesnt show up on those websites unless its been handed to you personally by a cop during the incident then dont bother paying it...
 
Always wait until they send you a summons :D Then you pay it. You'll know whether or not it's real.
