Jirre, kids have it easy these days. If we had tried any shit like that (specifically hitting a teacher), our feet wouldn't touch the floor until we got to the principal's office. At which point you would've been summarily expelled. None of this disciplinary hearing bull ... Chances are you would've gotten three of the best too.

Then your parents would haul you off home and you'd end up with another hiding.

Not even the most hardegat guys in my class would've even thought about touching the teacher ... we got into enough shit just back-chatting.

Well let's just say it didn't end well. I actually left after Grade 9 (that's when the incident happened) and went to another school. And from there on out I was a good girl!!!!

Our school was a tad different we used to form the circle and watch the fight, no recordings etc but there was 2 major differences...

1. If someone jumped in to help one person everyone would beat the living poo out of the person that jumped in...

2. When we saw that if the person was losing / lost we would stop the fight, no need for people to get BADLY injured.

Also our shit was done after school hours on another field not on school premises

Since I was young I was always getting myself into trouble; especially at school. Sat DT almost too often. Came home with a Bad News letter every week - almost. But, I would never intentionally try to bring harm to others [physically] - that kak just isn't me. Even today -- every time I am called, the 1st thing that comes to mind is... "Wat het ek nou weer aangevang".
