Hi guys,

For all those that don't know this is how you Rate a thread (or forum post) and give back to our community with "praise" or agreement / admiration call it what you will.

First off rating a thread, totally a personal feeling around a certain thread and what "stars" you think it deserves, you can find it here.

Next up is adding to a forumite's reputation for comments that you either agree or disagree with.

I am sure alot of you dont use this feature based on the current Leaderboards etc so spread the love and share with all what you feel is worthy or unworthy on the forums :)
 
After seeing this, i want to start a thread about how many times "Double overhead Cam - Western Province " has been used as an example :P

Because of the latest compo and rules, yes i would agree with you. But! Its important that the forumites know what tools are available to adding to our threads rather than just randomly commenting.

With recent thread debates and shunning of the new compo, i am trying to show the guys / gals how to better their rep and overall points :)

What I'd like is if someone rates your thread bad, they should have an option to say why. Eg. I have a thread in Computer Hardware for my thoughts on the Oculus Rift and it got a 2 star rating. Are people just going around rating things to get points or was it just because someone didn't like it and didn't feel like sharing his thoughts in the thread?

Edit: 2nd Example - I click on Off Topic and almost all the threads there are now rated 5 stars. Feels like people are abusing the functionality now? :p

think that can be attributed to trophy hunting :p
 
I don't think I've enabled a trophy for thread rating. It was a while ago since the initial setup so I'll give it a review when I have some time.

no not enabled, but it's there. I used to have it, till Graal went on a rating giving spree :p
