Goat Simulator review and opinion round-up

Saw this on steam and I had to share:

[Joke spoiler. Highlight to see]
CSS stands for Coffee-Stain Studios. They are basically rating their development experience.

Hope this doesn't open the flood gates for a slew of broken, buggy "parodies" that people can charge money for.

We already have bear simulator, so I guess that is exactly what will happen.
I see a bundle opportunity taking shape on the horizon...

Also, go play "The Plan" on steam (it is free), which is essentially a fly simulator.

I would pay for this... if it was like R10.

I would probably play it for 20 minutes and then never again.

The dev actually said wait till it's on sale for $2. I like how the net sort of embraced this and how they rolled with it as a parody game. It walks the line quite well too between being truly awful and just awful enough to be decent. I do agree it leaves the door open for some awful games where devs will claim that they are just parodies, of course I think most folks will see through that.

Then again have you guys seen the front page of steam lately? It's starting to look like a mobile app store there must have been 8 animal hospital games on the new release list bumping down cool new indie titles like Cloudbuilt to the nether of page 3+ makes goat simulator the least of our worries.

I have been close to steam in about 5 months
