God of War: Ascension E3 2012 gameplay showing, release date announced

God Of War lost me this generation, I feel they've stepped over the line when it comes to violence. Obviously GoW has always been pretty violent but now it just seems too much. The scene with the elephant creature is a prime example, he doesn't just defeat him and then maybe do a finishing move, he sits there smashing his skull in several times and then tearing it open exposing his brain.

That just doesn't make me feel like a hero or a badass anti-hero it makes me feel like a psychotic villain. Like I actually feel sorry for this creature that was moments earlier trying to rip my face off and that to me indicates something is wrong.
