God Of War III....what do you think?

So it's been out for about a week now....

Those that have it, what do you think so far....started yesterday and that first section on the titan with poseidon is epic!!!!!
 
Awesome game, finished it on the weekend.

Only 1 thing that I found rather annoying, but this may just be me. I started on Hard which was fine, I managed perfectly until I got to one of the big bosses and for the life of me just couldn't kill him.

I ended up having to drop the difficulty which sux because you can't set it back to hard. I found the game way to easy after that.
 
I'm still playing through the 1st GoW at the moment and probably won't see GoW3 for about a month. I cannot believe a game exists with so much nudity and violence, AND I AM ONLY PLAYING IT NOW?!?!? lol

I've always said that if you've owned a PS2 and didnt play GOW, you didnt really own a ps2.
 
Payday tomorrow, then i can sink myself into the 3rd title for a few days :) and thanks Grimspoon for the heads up ill just have to persevere and spend a few hours trying if i meet a strong foe.

Same happened to me. Great game though! Started God Mode last night...and it's hellish difficult! Should be fun tho!:)
 
So far, so good. The weapon is a little too bright and swooshy for my tastes, but it doesn't make the game completely skill-less, so I'm fine with the mechanics. The storyline was very nicely done, especially compared to FFXIII, which I played a few days ago.

If u had to decice to get FFXIII or GOW collection, which one would u go for? cuz thats what im having hard time deciding atm.
 
I haven't been able to play it myself but I've watched a couple of friends play it for a while. The graphics are amazing, especially if you compare it to GoW 1/2 (Probably unsurprisingly) and the story line seems decent.
The incredible amounts of violence and gore was a bit shocking for me though, and I already consider myself to be very desensetised by other games and media. Probably not one of the first games I'll get next month.

Hey! give an explanation! <rant> You can't come in here with your wild, nonsense accusations that GoW 3 stupid and you're not impressed and not even give is the foggiest idea of why you're saying that! I don't insult your mother without giving at least 2-3 good and valid reason! Geesh! </rant>

I loved the first two installments in the franchise (and Neo, so did my mom....lol) and will always recommend the series to any PS gamer...however, the third, although awesome and "everything better than anything out there", did feel like it came to an end quite abruptly. I felt cheated when, all of the sudden Zuess....just appears....stopping there for spoiler's sake...but ya, although I did enjoy it and will definitely play through it again it felt like it got cut off in mid game...disappointed a bit...

OMW everyone seems to be rather unhappy with the ending to this game. Strange. I'm still trying to finish the first 2 games before I play the 3rd one, so I'll get a better understanding of what happened.
 
Got the game on release, finished it in 2 days...just couldnt put it down. dont really wanna give any spoilers but the game is EPIC!!! Also Kratos is the angriest person in video gaming history, lol.
 
Some people did not mind the ending at all. In fact a lot liked it.

However I am NOT one of those. I feel if you saw the ending for what it is, it is a let down, and the potential for more games. The game is great, but after being told by the devs that this trilogy would come to an Epic conclusion, well, I did not see what was so Epic about the conclusion. But like I said, everything up until the ending was awesome.
 
I'm replaying it now on Titan mode. DAMMIT!!!! HARD!!!! A friend and I were stuck at the Hades battle for an hour and half on Saturday. Definitely not easy. Dont even wanna know what Chaos will be like then.
