Good and Bad DLC

Love it or hate it DLC is an established component of gaming these days. However, when it comes to DLC there often exists a disparity between good and worthwhile DLC and the rip-off, not-worth-it-at-all DLC. Sometimes it is difficult to decided which is which so let's help each other out and mention what DLC we've found to be worthwhile and what was a waste of time and money. This could also help those deciding whether to buy the GOTY version of a game or just vanilla.

Good, Worthwhile DLC:
Awesomenauts: Starstorm - This is in effect an expansion to the game, adding more characters to the 3v3 platformer MOBA. I've found that the new characters have been nice and varied and since they are still adding characters to the roster it's good value for money.
Trine 2: The Goblin Menace - It's more Trine so for me it was worth it. I enjoyed the extra levels.
Age of Empires 2 HD: The Forgotten - just started playing through some of this but it's got a decent amount of content.

Ok, middle-of-the-road DLC:
The Walking Dead 400 Days - it was interesting to play but none of the 5 mini-sodes really engaged me or held the tension of the base game so it wasn't bad but not that great either

Bad, Poor-value DLC
Not really bad but more "meh" was the costume DLC for one of the Awesomenauts, it's more my bad choice but I found the original outift to be better than the DLC one

Good DLC:

1. Missions/quests enough to warrant the price - meaningful ones too, not just chock-full of errand boy crap.
2. Cosmetic additions; clothing, maybe even various colour schemes.
3. More weapons

Mediocre DLC:

1. A few hardly noteworthy missions/assignments/quests/achievements.
2. Armour and weapons that aren't all that useful and only last (as a worthy addition) for a short period of time when something better from the original game comes along.

Bad DLC:

1. Game-breaking content (buggy items)
2. Unappealing cosmetic wear that clearly does not match its worth.

**subject to change or addition**

Thanks for the feedback so far, but I was hoping for actual examples - DLC that you've bought and played, almost like a single sentence review of the DLC so that others know what's worth getting, or getting the GOTY over the base version.

I like dlc that adds to a games content like new cars or tracks in a racing game.Bad dlc is cosmetic skins and perks.

the cosmetic stuff should not even be called DLC. and charging people real world monies for it is shameless robbery!
