Got Myself a New Desktop PC. About time!

Flex

Will lift for boobs!
Hi Guys, got a PC this weekend again. Time to let go of my beloved laptop!

The rig is a good basis to build up from. GPU will def need replacing!

Intel Motherboard Ultra Durable Socket 1150 USB 3.0
i7 4770 3.4Ghz Hashwell
16 gig DDR3 Kingston
2GB Geforce GT640 Gainward

Getting used to playing on a different setup now, so struggling with my last few CSGO matches

You know how the internetz work.
Pics or it didn't happen :p

Will post some pics a bit later! I am a very minimalistic kind of guy. So no impressive flashing lights and fans playing tunes =D
But will post pics later this evening when I am home :P

nice setup bud!

Quick question, is it ok to have the sata cables that rolled up. Isnt there a chance to cause a kink in the cable which could result into all types of issues?

Never even thought of that! Think it might be a good idea to look into that!
Thanks!

No probs! Only reason I was pointing it out is I had an SATA cable that had an issue because of this.

I read up a bit, and from what I saw is that the cable can be rolled up, but not bent. Don't know how reliable the forum was, but will do some more research !

I run everything on low, which is not really necessary though. but that is what I am used to and like to play. 1920x1080.
I get +-200fps

Thats not bad! goes to show that CSGO is more CPU dependent (And that Intel is more optimal for it) I get 150fps on the same settings (although turning it to high only gets about a 10fps loss) on a AMD FX 4300 CPU and a Gigabyte R9 270 GPU...

Tbh if CSGO is the main game you play, I wouldn't justify an expensive GPU upgrade

Congrats on the new machine, Flex! Hope you get many hours of happy gaming from it.
Regarding the cables, afaik rolling them like that won't give you issues as long as you don't give it a sharp bend (knak in Afrikaans, not sure about the good ingels word).
