sup dudes i need some advice.

I got a brand new msi 7870 hawk now i got 2 choices. a guy offered me R2400 for my card and he is selling a brand new asus 7970 direct cu II top for R4400.

is it worth trading my 7870 hawk+R2000 for asus 7970 irect cu II top or keep my card and get another 7870 hawk later on and then xfire?

For future-proofing sake, I'd be inclined to say you should go for the 7970, if at some point later on (much later), you feel the need to upgrade, you could then xfire with another 7970...

One 7870 is overkill for those games, never mind two. A 7970 can probably run like two or three copies of those games above 60fps. :)

I'd rather just save up and wait for the next console generation to upgrade my gfx since then we might actually see something that taxes modern systems.

I agree with Saint Dee on this.
The 7970 will probably out perform teh 7870 xfire anyway.

Nope 7870 xfire will crush a single 7970
Tested and confirmed. That said a single gpu causes much less headaches.

Oh and for the guys wondering, a single 7870 can max any current title @ 1920x1080
