Gran Turismo 5 review roundup

alot of the reviewers seem to be dissapointed in the graphics and I have to agree, all polyphony was showing all this time up to the release of the game was how good the premium models look in the game, and now that its out people are realising that the majority of the cars, 800 of those so called 1000 cars are just upscaled gt4 car models. so technically they waited 5 years for a game that is not the holy grail, sony, polyphony snd everyone else made it out to be.
 
Well, the standard cars detail is the same as GT5 Prologue which wasnt bad at all. The game shouldnt JUST be about the best possible graphics.... The game is very well done, and I am VERY happy. I spent my R 670 instead of where other people now seem to complain about COD Black Ops (especially on PS3), so thank goodness I havent had any interested in COD since COD4 .

Apparently its the same as GT4, not GT5p. So its, uhh, pretty bad.

Plus you arent allowed to take close up photos of standard cards, only premium.
 
I've been playing GT5 nonstop since yesterday :). Got absolutely no complaints so far, except maybe for the overloaded servers which increases the loading times. I just need to get a wheel asap because playing with the DS3 is not ideal.

Yeah, please get a wheel :) ... you have to feel the force feedback on rally or fast cars with a steering wheel! Absolutely awesome. Oh, and I hate the Sambabus challenge on Top Gear Test Track :(
 
i have been playing for a few hours for the past 2 days....and I really love it. I think it lives up the the GT series. So what about the standard cars graphics...the premium cars, track and surrounding graphics are unbelivable. When racing how often to look at the car and admire it. The mechanics of racing are super accurate and reflects a true racing experience.
I love the special event mode, very cool.
