Graphics Card Advice

Very good CPU-Mobo combo. Take pics when you build this!

Your case makes me Jelly, I want a new case so badly - I've outgrown my CMStacker :(

I wish the only reason I was upgrading was because I outgrew it but truth be told I have to. I need a reliable pc for work reasons and my old setup just is not cutting it anymore (it will, as soon as I build the new setup, be connected straight to our 42" 3d tv in the bedroom as a fancy media player LOL)

I will need a new case for my current out of date pc (I plan to use it as a media centre/player connected to my tv) anyways so if I buy the nice case now or in a month or two it wouldn't really make all that much of a difference. So for budget reasons I have to get the cheap case now and do the transplant later. Unless I cut the budget somewhere else which I really do not want to do.

I guess you can hold the cooler for 2 months, over winter it should be fine. Come summer get a new cooler. I would rather get the case now than transplant a PC in 3 months. Get a nice chassis now and you can hold it for years. I have the 400R and love it.

What do you guys think about the sapphire Hd7770 Vapor-X edition. It looks quite nice for a budget card don't you think?

When I went through an exercise of sources prices (quite recently, as my HTPC / Steam box thread illustrates) I actually found RebelTech to work out cheaper than Wootware. Some parts slightly more expensive, some cheaper, but all in all the total package worked out cheaper. Interesting thing though - PC International is selling 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 RAM for only R222! Crazy price that...

I'm still searching for the ideal chassis though.

Will this be stationery or a LAN case?

have you explored any options in the bitfenex range?

Otherwise trust your research

My first consideration was the Prodigy, but it's too much of a traditional PC case. I want something that looks at home on a TV wall unit and the best (affordable) option so far is the Cooler Master "mini tower" range (110, 120 Advanced, 130). They're small, boxy and not too high. I'm not all that impatient though, so I can still wait until I find something that suits my needs. :)

In the CM 110, 120 price range, nothing is going to compete.
