Graphics Card Advice

It shouldn't be that expensive. I'll check around for you. Do you want anything specific?
Man, you're pretty helpful! :D Yeah, it would be great if you could help out... I don't want to derail this thread any further, so perhaps we should continue this in my thread. It might prove helpful to others looking to do something similar.
If you're in Gauteng, check out PC International they have good prices on many decent CM chassis'.
Yeah, had a look a while ago, but they only having "gaming chassis". I'm looking for an HTPC / Steam box low profile chassis.

I don't think you are derailing this thread at all, quite the opposite, any conversation happening to do with cases (or any other pc parts for that matter) is greatly appreciated as I like to see what people think about certain products and consider getting themselves.

The only other, not-normal case I can find (that I trust), for an HTPC is the Lian-li PC series (PC-Q27, PC-Q07 etc).

I have an R9 270X O.C and it's an amazing card and i would buy another one to run x-fire it's not too expensive and it's a good little jobber :D

Received my first parts on monday, Coolermaster N300 case and the Corsair VS550 power supply... quite sexy...

very excited for the build.

I will indeed! :)

I will be posting it up here, or is there some other thread where I should post it?

I will only start taking pics once I have a few more parts and actually start assembling a working PC :)

Here should be fine :)

Otherwise you can create your own thread in the hardware section to showcase your creation

Man I am amped!

Actually only found out this week (After I received my order) that a friend of mine works for a certain company that distributes to Wootware among others and I can buy through him :D

So I just took delivery of my hard drive (1tb Seagate to start off with - future upgrade would include a SSD) as well as my CPU (i5 4440)

Putting my order in for my mobo, ram and gpu now, along with one or two other small things...

Won't forget :)

Got a friend from work coming over to help out with the new build so I will be setting up my camera to take pics as we go along :)

I think the parts I got would equal a pretty descent mid range build.

Will try upload some bench marks as well when I upload the pics.

Ok, I just received the last few parts! :D

Now I just have to ask the guy from work if he can come and help out tonight, I am too excited to wait until tomorrow... lol

Sneak Peak

Here is a little sneak peak of my new set up.

I will upload proper photos once one or two more additions have been made.

I still need to add the water cooling and one or two fans with a light. (Pay day is tomorrow! :D)

I also added a steelseries apex raw keyboard to my set up and along with my new mouse.

I am VERY happy with my new build.

I managed to max out medal of honour warfighter as well as farcry 3, both on ultra settings! I have no idea what the fps were but things were running VERY smoothly!

I must admit that the build surpassed my expectations!
