Greatest Game Ever Made - MyGaming Poll

For its time, genre and platform:

Half-Life 2 (2004 / FPS)
Borderlands ( 2009 / RPG FPS)
Borderlands 2 ( 2012 / RPG FPS)
DiRT 3 (2011 / Racing)
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas ( 2005 / Action-Adventure)

PS3:
The Last of Us ( 2013 / Action-Adventure - Survival Horror)
Red Dead Redemption ( 2010 / Western Action-adventure)
Grand Theft Auto V (2013 / Action-Adventure)

PS2:
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005 / Racing)
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas ( 2004 / Action-Adventure)

PS One:
Rayman 2 (2000 / Adventure)

For now...
 
This is an extremely difficult call, and I think that it's difficult to lump all games together to find one Greatest Game of All Time. There are so many genres and none of those can possibly have universal appeal. Radio stations often have Greatest Song of All Time surveys and I think choosing that is an equally difficult challenge. So here are my criteria for choosing the greatest song:

1. Highest universal appeal
2. Most technically brilliant (vocally and instrumentally)
3. Best song writing

To apply these to a game, I would like to use similar criteria:

1. Highest universal appeal
2. Best technical achievement for the time
3. Best gameplay

It's very difficult to choose a Greatest Game based on limited criteria like these, but it's the only way I can think of to select something without genre or platform bias. So my nominations follow below:

- Super Mario Bros
- Tetris
- Call of Duty x, y and z

Please note that the only game mentioned above that I actually like is tetris. I tried to do this as objectively as possible hence the other choices.

In case anyone was wondering, the Greatest Song of All Time is Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. No Contest. Check my criteria if you don't believe me

A lot of great games here, but I notice there is not much love for Gran Turismo and Abe's Oddysee. Should these two titles be included in the poll/survey?

Both are great series. Both of those would sooner get my vote than Half-life.

World of Goo, it's simple, funny and easy to understand but also really challenging with great reply value. I also enjoyed the story behind it.
