The decomposing body of a man has been found in the boot of a car at Montecasino in Fourways, north of Johannesburg, Gauteng police said on Monday.

"It was found [on Sunday] around 1pm by security guards on patrol. They were drawn [to investigate] by the smell coming out of the car," Lt-Col Lungelo Dlamini said.

Police were called and they opened the car's boot, where the decomposing body was found.

The thing stood there until it could be smelled? Damn.

Don't they like notice if a car hasn't moved in half a month? I know people gamble long hours...but jeez.

I suspect we'll see many more bodies show up going forward. Except in air tight plastic bags.
 
And just when I thought they only made this stuff up in Hollywood, we have our very own right here in Joburg and in one of the larniest spots around these parts :wtf:

Really, dead dude in a trunk in a casino parking lot (hollywood story right here) and your wondering on his last thoughts. I'm pretty sure it was something really painful considering he was murdered before when he died.
 
Wasn't there a similar incident at Vodaworld a year or two ago? (Decomposing body found in boot).

ah ok,i thought he was left in the trunk to die.
 
As it turns out my mom in law was good friends with the mom of the lad that was found in the boot of the car. His mom passed away last year iirc. This fella didn't have much luck in the last few years. Sadder when you learn the history of someone like this. Eish! :(
