GTA V PC release

Sigh.

I thought this was actually going to be a thread about a confirmation or at least a useful, legit link announcing the PC version. Petitions aren't really worth shit, to be honest.

If they want to release a PC version, they eventually will, petition or not.

PS. I am really pissed off that no PC version has yet been announced, hence my slightly bitchy response to your OP.

So a game that has been in development for how long will go from no PC release to PC release in the 6 months or so until release? Yeah that will end well for the PC guys.

Sigh, what a waste. I thought this would look amazing. If its console only its going to look poo compared to current games(pc)

argh, this console only mindset from developers is really frustrating. I got gta4 for ps3 and couldn't play more than 2 hours of it, I bought it for my pc a few weeks ago and it is the best gta in my opinion so far.

If they do not release it on pc then i guess there goes another game down the drain:(

You know i really would not mind releasing it on console only if they just included mouse and keyboard support on consoles. I cannot play shooting games with those stupid remotes. Racing games or sports games fine but not shooting games, it becomes more frustrating trying to aim and shoot and die cos you miss the whole damn time. /rant over

I hope these publishers who are shunning the PC market get bit in the ass when things come around.

I hope so too but you can't blame them for it. Piracy is a huge problem and they will make a ton more cash making it a PS3/Xbox only.

This doesn't sound logical at all. Halo 4 made $200 mill in the 1st 24 hours, xbox only. Call of Duty Black ops 2 $500 mill in 24 hours, xbox, ps2 AND PC. Saying that not releasing to PC earns you more cash doesn't make any sense at all. Its not like the entire pc market is only filled with pirates.

Go look for an ISO image of any game on the Promotion Bay quickly. See if you struggle to find a console version.

The software is there, available for download. For all platforms. Whether you choose to use it or not is your choice. They are just too fucking lazy to make a PC version because it takes a hundred times more effort. And if they did release a PC version, I would buy that shit with my hard earned g-damn money.

Now, telling me I can't have steak because babies can't chew it fucks me off more than you could ever believe.

This is typical affair. They will release a pc version a year or so after it comes out on consoles. They always do it.

Do some research before telling me about my logic. Look up the pc/ps3/xbox sales charts (http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/call-of-duty-black-ops-2-tops-uk-all-format-gaming-chart) , you will see that pc is the lowest selling platform most of the times. Now you are telling me that developing a game for pc and making all those pc-copies of the game is profitable for them while pc sales comprise a very small percentage of sales compared to consoles?

Secondly , do some research about pc game piracy (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-09-30-how-bad-is-pc-piracy-really-article, http://www.tweakguides.com/Piracy_5.html) you will see that the pc market is suffering a lot from piracy, that it's not even profitable for them to release games for pc anymore.

I'm not going to argue about this , it's hard facts vs your opinion.

Ok Mr. Scholar.

Moving along.

LOL... seriously? facts? its a pretty badly written article at most. Tweakguides? would you really be allowed to reference a website called tweakguides for a scientific study? [That would be my minimum requirement when stating "Facts"] That article seemed to be more about how there are more sales on the xbox than pc, and they are shocked by the fact there are far more pcs out there than xboxs, adn even then they take a wild stab out how many can actually play games. They infer to much and don't rely on enough "facts". Those are not scientific studies, but journalistic opinions. Just like yours and mine.

Also I'm a little confused, have rockstar even stated this is the reason for not releasing to PC?

It's not an opinion, it's a fact that PC is the lowest selling platform for the majority of games. It is also a fact that the pc market is suffering a lot from piracy. One has to be a ignorant fool to say anything otherwise.

One little problem. Steam sales never get taken into account. In fact do any digital sales get taken into account?
