GTX 1050 vs GTX 1050 Ti vs RX 460 - pricing and performance comparison

I used to think that the Nvidia x60 series was the bare minimum for a decent gaming experience, but the NVidia x50Ti's actually offer decent value with impressively low power consumption. The 1050Ti will definitely be my next card of choice when the price drops a little.

Please don't (unless the price drops drastically).

The RX 470 is a much better buy, and it is currently R6 cheaper than the 1050 Ti linked in the article:D:

Or you could even spend a little more and get an RX 480!

Don't worry, I won't. I'm actually a bit of a cheapskate bargain hunter. ;)

Having said that I haven't had much luck with Radeon cards over the years, so I tend to stick to NVidia cards where possible. The main appeal of the NVidia x50Ti cards for me is the low power consumption, low temps and excellent stability.

I'm also a huge fan of V-Sync, which tends to work a lot better on NVidia cards.

The Adaptive V-Sync option is particularly useful if you have a lower end card which spends most of its time running below 60FPS. :)
