Greetings all,

Over a year ago I upgraded to GTX 770 Sli configuration. Gave my "old" GTX570 to my brother. Last night it just decided to stop working. Contacted the relevant manufacturer and they say it's not worth getting it fixed :wtf:

Anyways I'm in the market to buy him a new gfx card seeing as he has to fall back onto his archaic HD 4770 card

What suggestions can any of you give me me? nVidia or AMD chipset? Realistically I don't really want to spend of excess of R2000 for a card. But if anyone can somehow twist my arm that an extra R500 would make a massive difference then I would seriously consider it.

Regards,

I have a GTX650 OC which cost me R1,457; goes now for about R1,600+ (depending on where you get it), more or less.

The card performs decent enough @1080p; plus-minus 40-60 FPS in most games I play.

May as well get a GTX 750/Ti then, since it's a step up from the 650.
The Ti variant is about R2200~ http://www.rebeltech.co.za/gtx-700-...ess-30.html?search_query=GTX+750+ti&results=9

non-Ti R1800 limited to 1GB VRAM though, so I would probably opt for the Ti, How ever when I bought my GTX750 it only cost me about R1300 so I assume prices have increased due to demands.
