I'm quite happy with the pace - it gives me enough time to get the achievements squared away, and attend to some other stuff like leveling alts, getting some WvW time or gathering mats for crafting.

After their botches at the beginning I think ANet has a better idea of what their Living Story is meant to be and how it is meant to affect the world. I'm a little sorry for those who join the game late because they miss out on developments, but I think it's a massive plus that creating a new character now will present it with a world that is subtly different. Although the current personal story ruins that immersion a little bit.

That's been my biggest gripe with MMOs since I picked up the original Guild Wars all those years ago.
 
I seem to go from new content to new content to ....

Been awhile since I was in WvW, never mind did any farming

Was in WvW for first time in awhile ...

Need to farm for my Warrior's back piece now - want it done and dusted before 28 March when Season 2 of WvW starts ...
 
I've been on quite the GW2 mission this past week or two. I've spent so much time in WvW I still haven't finished the map :D I'm sitting on around 76% map completion now, up from about 50%!

Then I need to do some serious research into a good Mesmer build and what pretty armour/weapons I should embark on the long journey to acquire. My poor character looks seriously stock standard.
 
What Mesmer build do you have in mind?

I run a full condition build, Khilbrons armour - mostly Staff/Sceptre-Focus.

Focus instead of Torch for the speed buff ...

Very tempted to create a second mesmer and go Great Sword, Beserker build on it ...
 
The above, even tho my Son is crying about the up coming nerf to Zerker builds. He plays Zerker Warrior.

Hopped back into WvW for a bit yesterday as well - since I'm done with the Escape from LA achievements.

As for armour/weapons ... unless you want to spend money on the gem-store it might be best to go for a combo that works. My mesmer is still wearing the starter armour (skinned on to level-appropriate armour of course), while my Elementalist is skinned with the ... err ... feathered set.

And then you've got the cultural armours too, of course. Although personally I think the human cultural light-armour looks crap.
 
Very disheartening, getting into WvWvW, around 17:00 local time, and finding 90% of our BL owned by the opposition, and only 2-3 of our folks trying to recap our Garri, and our opponents have 2 x 15-30 groups running free in our BL.
 
Anyone know what's going to happen to the "Lost Belongings" and "Heirlooms" currencies with this new living story content?

I've got a lot of them and don't want them going to waste?
