Guild Wars 2

Thanks shadow, glad to see some people still playing GW2 :)

Lol, Gendarran Fields Vigil Keep, didnt expect that, although it does make sense now...

Regarding the zerg, Arenanet just has to come up with something to tone it down. I loved when it were large groups, but its now
so massive with LS content: lag, hundreds and hundreds more... and when the content is done, the area goes completely empty, you dont see anyone exploring with a new character even (making Orr impossible to complete some skill points solo), and not many seem to be doing dungeons...

I ran into Aurora Glade's Sparkfly Fen only to notice NOBODY even camping for Tequatl. I know they made it very hard along September, but by now I would have thought people figured out what to do, guess AG just gave up then.

Hoping the new dragon (its a 'new elder dragon' as far as I know) content will be exciting, I need to love Guild Wars again! Will have a look at the feature packs link.

I've never actually stopped playing ... except for a few days here and there where I needed to get away from the PC for a while.

As for the apparent lack of population ... Tequila (my pet name for him) just isn't rewarding enough for most people, if you consider the amount of effort required to down him - but Scarlet's Marionette fight was epic fun ... even though it was also kind of zergy. But again, the content required people to split up properly in order to complete it. The only crit I had of that was the fact that having one or two players not knowing the boss mechanics would result in a failed event for everyone. But Tequila gets run at specific times ... any other time you're not likely to spot anyone in the area. Might be best to check the AG forums for times and stuff.

Also ... politics - I got word that a couple of guilds left Aurora Glade for greener pastures - mostly WvW guilds, but I'm sure this affects the PvE population as well. There was some major in-fighting at some point ... so a bunch left, and we're currently getting clobbered by servers we were usually evenly matched against. We're going to have a rough season 2.

As for Orr ... I'm busy doing map completion with my Necro ... and Orr is one of the areas I still need to clear. So we can always team up over weekends. I need to start hunting for dungeon groups, because I'm starting to make some progress on my legendary, and I need to spend some quality time in the Crucible of Eternity.

Of course, there's also all the other additions you would've missed over the past 6 months, including ascended gear crafting, some trait balancing etc. I'm totally drooling in anticipation of April 15 - but I expect some of the changes aren't going to be entirely welcomed.

My dat file on disk is 19 gigabytes - started around beta2.

8 WvW guilds left AG ... , grass is not really greener the other side - spent an hour last night chatting with one of the guys who moved with his guild.

Ran my rebuilt Guardian to Arah other night - solo - changed from char to human ... much happier ...

AG forums, where I can find it lol? Will have to look at that then, just to try "Tequila" again ;), it seems the community have changed over the period, wasnt aware some events are now 'scheduled' for runs!

I thought as much about large guilds leaving AG to stack others... people always want to win...

@java and shadow, I dont really need to do anything in Orr at the moment, were just observing the fact that it will be hard to do things there for completions, and also then WvW for that matter if AG areas are going to be undefended... I already had 2 characters 100% map completion last year January (Warrior, and Elementalist), so my other characters will most likely not do that again. My Mesmer, Engineer, Necro is mid lvl 30s or so, I only play occasionally with them.

I would want to do some dungeons some time again, I always enjoyed it alot; but just before I stopped playing dungeon groups started to just skip 90% stuff, running 90% of the time and kill what is definitely needed, of course for 'optimized return'; but dungeon experiences also worsened. I imagine with just my Ascended Rings (no other Ascended stuff as crafted) I would not be that welcome in current PUG dungeon groups...

I just need to get back into things again, might be worth it if I spend some time working towards (something)

Dungeons and Fractals, are a lucky packet, you get a good group and all is well, a bad group and it is a waste of time.

WvW is a lucky packet of a different type, can run you there as well, can get 60% + there relatively easy, but the rest you need to check regularly what has become available, and run for it. Green corner on EB is most difficult to get.

My 2 week old Guardian has map completion on 1 BL, 50% + on the other 2 and 72% on EB. Just takes regular visits yo nab what has become available in the mean time, and the ability to reach it before it gets taken by the non friendlies ...

Just hope my warrior doesn't take a knock, folks are saying healing signets gonna be smacked with a nerf bat
