Guild Wars 2

The call also mentions beta testing for the upcoming fantasy game. "In March and April there will be large-scale testing for GW2; depending on results of testing a finalized commercialization schedule will be determined.
Atleast we got that quote :D

MMO on a console? I don't see that working somehow :/

Arenanet will find a way to make it work somehow :/

Doesnt really matter to us, as long as the PC version gets patched, bugs sorted tc. I dont care.. but, if they do it right they will unlock a huge market. The first thing that can make it work is the fact that it does not hav e a monthly sub; so that cant be something scaring the console owners. Cash shop? idk.. but given enough time if someone likes the game they will buy something in the shop.

EDIT: They dont need people bashing buttons for LFG LF Healer crap, so that problem is sort of sorted xD.... For instanced dungeons they might automatically add anything to a browsable list once you enter the instance (outpost) area where this dungeon may start from.

This console version could work, actually lol.. only problem is chatting / communication... but that will be fixed with VOIP :/

MMO on console will be like dungeon siege 3 the fighting style was very close to it so yeah

Dungeon Siege 3 isn't even close to the complexity of an MMO though.

You have 10 skills just to start with, and while I suppose it is theoretically possible to map them to a controller, you'll be using button-combos, where your PC users have one hot-key per skill/action. And that's before you even get as far as UI and general interaction with the UI and environment. Although I suppose the problem will be solved if they make the console versions kb-compatible. Tera has the smallest keyboard map I've come across in an MMO so far, and even with that, taking my supreme random-button-mashing skills into account, I'd screw up royally if I had to use a controller.

And I expect console vs PC PvP is going to be a little bit imbalanced.

I'll stick to my PC for MMOs, thank you.

You beat me to it xD, its even more epic than I imagined... o.O one problem : lag for us here in SA :'(...

I was actually prepping myself when I came to this thread of the possibility of you beating me towards the post :P That's why the post is so vanilla, I wanted the throne

Player loot drops.

I like :D

It always struck me as odd that any random mob you kill will drop money, weapons, armor, items etc etc etc, but when you kill another player who is armed to the teeth and carries his entire bank with him he doesn't even drop a broken tooth :p

Yeah we should also during beta petition ArenaNet for a local server. If we stand together we might actually pull it off.
