Guild Wars 2

TBH, I dont really know what you want to know :P, but what I know:

Skills for weapon sets are set : five skills per weapon set is defined by whatever the designers decide the link between the skills and the corresponding weapon are. Only the profession will determine skills for a weapon set to be different than another profession (which should be obvious as an Elementalist cant do melee attacks, even if it equips daggers - it does spells)

For instance : the most reasonable one to explain differences in professions with weapons is a longbow -> (no use comparing Ele to a Necro in terms of skills and weapons)
A Warrior will use : Arcing Shot, Incendiary Shot, Dual Shot, Kick, Rain of Fire
A Ranger will use : Long-Range Shot, Rapid Fire, Poison Arrow, Point Blank Shot, Barrage.

Skills will be the closest to skill points; it can be changed / modified outside of combat; modifying effectiveness and effects of your skills.

At least it seems with the female warrior they fixed the "more armor u wear the more u reveal" thing that has plagued mmo's

Hey I like my female warriors running around in skimpy armour...

it distracts your enemies... "I'm going to murde... OOOH NICE LEGS BAB" - *dead*

@ _Caboose_

case in point for armors from gw 1

"maybe release date information"

The only thing thats for sure .... closed beta this year

Source : GWG2guru

NCSoft just published their 4Q 2010 earnings here. The English conference call download link isn't working yet but I listened to the stream.

DISCLAIMER: Information in these calls has been wrong before; for example, well over a year ago the NCSoft spokesman had previously claimed GW2 development was "on track" to complete by the end of 2010, and that obviously didn't happen.

The first analyst's question was about Blade and Soul and GW2, and there was also a blurb at the end that repeated exactly the same thing. Here is what he had to say when asked to share details about the development of B&S and GW2:

(about 25% in)
"... as for GW2, I think the development process is on track and we expect there will be at least a closed beta test during the year, and depending on the feedback we will further decide the actual date of open beta and commercialization launch. There are a lot of uncertainties, and we decided not to include the additional revenue which would come from the launch of Blade and Soul and GW2 when we make our guidance for 2011, but also there is a possibility that we may be able to launch those titles before the end of the year. If that happens we may be able to exceed our guidance. At this point the development is on track. Because this is a very sensitive matter, depending on the feedback of the beta, we may decide the actual date for commercialization. That is our stance regarding the progress of the development of those two titles."

Later on (about 80% of the way through)
"We have a wide range of scenarios from launching Blade and Soul and GW2 before the end of the year, to not launching both titles within the year. All our developers believe they will be able to complete the project definitely before the end of the year. The uncertainty is after we finish the production and run the open and closed beta, and feedback for customers. If everything goes well we will be able to launch the product soon enough, otherwise they will be delayed.

If we could launch them early enough, there will be huge impact. If we launch nearing the end of the year, the impact on the revenue will be limited."

Also, NCSoft bought a baseball team PR purposes.
