that screenshot made me panic a bit... was like Arenat.net, WHY YOU NO LET ME DOWNLOAD BETA CLIENT?!

Wednesday is usually when arena net send out their mails with links. and remember, overseas they dont have 384 users, so i highly doubt they are worried about that.

The stress test client was 11gig and took me 2.5 days to download on a 1mb. i may ask a mate of mine to download it for me though as he has a 4mb cause my client for the stress test bombed out at 99% so i couldn't play anyways.
 
Provided their servers can handle the massive gang-rape that is bound to occur as soon as they post a link, I should be able to download it overnight.

I'll let you guys know, and the CT folks can try and organise a quick get-together to share it (given that Friday is a public holiday, should be doable).

Good idea dude. Hopefully my 1 meg will get through it in time, but if not a get together could be a good idea.
 
On a 1mb line at full capacity you should be able to get 11gb done in 3 days. When my line is OK I get 19gb done in 4 days.

Yeah, I'm just looking at worst case scenario, like the download failing. They really need a resume option for a large download like this.
 
New downloader looks different from the old one from the previous beta. Maybe the error has been fixed and there is a resume function.

I will DIE if my download crashes. specially if it got quite far.
 
I won't, if it happens it happens then I will wait for the next one or until release.

With that said I would probably still want to kick a baby or something at the time that it crashes.
 
Luckily I have a work colleague who is also going to be downloading the beta, so hopefully between the two of us if something goes wrong the other would have the files.

When the download failed for the stress test client i kicked my download machine... had to swap out cases X_X
