Lol you are probably correct:
I truly miss AoC as it was before noobifying took place and good olde HG:L. Now I'm just playing TSW as it at least gives me a challenge and I'm able to crossclass skills pick as I please. When I look and ask about GW2 from my SO it is not convincing, it sounds too easy, no real thing to do and no real challenge. You just log in faceroll and you are rewarded. In TSW I've been building up a custom build similar to what I used to play in HG:L and it's been hard to mix and match something that works. Sunday night I solo'ed the RPG mission instead of co-op it and it really was fun to see how far I could make it making use if cloak and dagger VS go in and fuck everything up or just facerolling away.
My current needs for mmo is modern and proper crossclass skills picking. GW2 just looks pretty and is fantasy, been on the fantasy trek for years and really need something else. What I want to see is ZOMG WOD and not some shitty release. I hope white wolf don't screw that one over. I'm still to play some GW2 with her account, but so far I just don't get to that point...
"Get quest from NPC"
"Complete quest given by NPC"
"Run back ten million miles to the NPC that had given you the quest and collect reward"
"Explore"
"Repeat tedious action(s) ... As above metioned..."
That's how I perceive her idea of what this game is supposed to be like ...
Hmm. How is that different from Guild Wars 2? Oh except for the part where you become more poweful and actually have fun?
Yes, good argument there, chief.
Edit:
I'm going to clarify: I never said I disliked the game. I said that, as far as I can see, the game design is flawed. This is from playing an Asura for a few days, getting to level 20, and being in the first area (and a little of the second, before realising the enemies were all the same, just different levels). The reason I asked someone to join me, was because, as I have exhaustively pointed out, I was trying to give it a chance. Presumably if you party with people, join a guild, see more of the world, you'll start to enjoy it more, but I was never given that opportunity because whatsisname up above there never gave me the chance. He simply didn't like that I called some of the game's design into question, insulted me, and that was that.
As I said, I'm still willing to give the game a shot, I was just explaining the issues I have with it so far. Don't act like I'm attacking your child or something. It's somewhat pathetic. If you care about it so much, take the time to help me understand why this game is anything other than a total shambles.
Also, just for the record, since someone asked: I forgot to mention in my previous post what I mean by bland and uninteresting characters. The Asura are awesome, and the Charr (those are the beast guys, yes?) are pretty cool, if somewhat overdone by now, but the others? Human... Bigger human... green human. Yes, great variation there. Excuse me for having an opinion contrary to yours. Tch.

The sub 70+ zones are easy (they stop being faceroll at 15+), but after that it ramps up dramatically. Also dungeons have incredibly difficult content and are very, very satisfying to beat.

It does go to point how tastes differ - I just didn't enjoy TSW at all. Okay, to be fair, the skill system annoyed me and once I figured it out it was all kinds of fun - but I'll say it was the atmosphere of the game that didn't grip me. And that eventually made me lose interest.
On the other hand, I can look at Star Trek Online - which admittedly is not very good - I don't think anyone here actually enjoyed playing it? I speak under correction of course - but I love the heck out of that game. The only reason I haven't been back to play is because I enjoy GW2 more![]()

Ugh ok your practically begging for this so here you go: "You're dumb lol"
Thanks, i'd check that out. Though I'd prefer to give my opinion exactly as I feel, do you rather want rosy tinted version ?
