Guild Wars 2

My kit is sorted for the most part, no real high end stuff but functional. I saw the balancing for dungeons are a lot better. I will join you when I am in game again. Though I play over weekends mostly.

haha yeah we fought a spider that was on steroids the animation was so fast that you literately had a sec or 2 to get out of the way or you go down. Also hope they fix the enemy with the Knock down Combo he seems to have no cooldown on that ability.

Yeah he's a BS enemy, one shot from that AoE almost downs my Guardian and before I have a chance to use my heal he leaps at me again... At least we found a way to counter him, Shadows earth elemental was very useful for him.

Yeah ... I'm never going in a dungeon without Glyph of Elementals. Ever. Again.
 
So as a FPS guy that thinks any one that plays a MMO needs to get a life i have to say this one thing .

Man how awesome is this game?

I palyed a little before rage to concentrate on cod 4 but after rage ive been going at this with a mate of mine.

I dont know the basics and majority of my game time is spent running away, but how nicely is this game done, Im having a blast to be honest :D

MY mate is a wolf thing and im a norn, So we jump between our worlds to do our storys together.

It is super fun seeing the other storys evolve as yours progress :D


The quick questions i have. and these posts are 452 pages long and a quick search didnt provide me any details so sorry if it was asked before.


1. How do i open the auction house to buy items as im simply not picking anything up ?

IF i strol around by myself i pick up low level items for my class but as soon as my mate partys on me I only pick up HIS class. he is a thief and uses light armour. His entire hero is kitted out with items i picked up . IS there a bug taht works this way? THis has been hapening for well over a week now and ive only picked up a amulet that grants 13 power ( im level 25 ) and my mate picked up an axe for me. So that is about that.

2. Is there a guide to cooking?


3. How do i get better looking armour ?

IVe seen kids at costume parties with armour made out of tinfoil that looks better than mine, MY GF built my character and it resembles me quite a bit . For those that dont know me that is 1.9 M tall and about 2 M wide. So it looks kak funny when a guy with Rokkie armour is roling around :D

You need to go to the trade post Merchant in Divinity reach or in Hoelenbrock(that is the auction house in GW2). What is your level atm? Farm items from randoms you kill and salvage them then go to your skill and make armour or go to Lions arch and use the mystic forge. At higher levels you start dungeon runs where you can also get armour. Go look on the GW2 wiki it will show you what you need for your class and what creatures to farm for certain items.

I am also an fps boytjie but having awesome fun with this. If stuck google or try the GW2 wiki.

What is you class Norn(is your race) what?

Your answer to question 1 - press 'O', this opens up the trading screen, and the third tab, I believe, is the trade-post (it's got an icon of a little scale on it). It'll take a little getting used to, but it's quite easy to use. You can do this from anywhere, but you HAVE to go to a trade-post NPC to pick up anything you buy (which will be the bottom tab with a box item). Trade Post NPCs are marked on your maps (same icon as the tab you purchase from).

With regards to your bug question - I can't say I've noticed anything to this effect, but when I group with others we usually have quite a mix of classes. Grouping does (I have no proof to back this up, only anecdotal evidence) seem to affect drop rates a bit.

Question 2: Cooking's a tricky crafting profession - probably the most complicated one to do. There are guides, but they seem to be pretty focused on what you need to do to get to 400 as quickly as possible, so I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for.

Here's one on GuildwarsInsider and you can probably also look at the wiki page for some more info.

Question 3: Either through crafting, or doing explorable dungeons. You can buy cultural armour later on (available in your home city) but it gets horrendously expensive later on. You can also browse the Trade Post, and you can preview what the item will look like by right-clicking on it and clicking the Preview option. Just be aware that armour pretty much just always looks crap until you get much further into the game. I only got armour I actually liked the appearance of when I hit level 55, and I had to craft it myself :)

Okay so finaly made Masquerade armor for my ele... Though I would make some for Wyvern too since I have extra material... then I saw this..

While it looks good on a human, on a Asura (which is Wyvern's ele) NO. Just... NO. :D
