Guild Wars 2

Even if that was right, it would still be useless in PvP, because anything halfway sentient would change direction.

But as I read it, the change only affects the blast finisher, and not the targeting - it still targets your selection.

That's how I understand it, but I will check it out tonight maybe.

Frudi and Waco, this is for us!

The mighty Zommoros has slightly increased the drop rate on Legendary precursor weapons from the Mystic Forge from both Rares and Exotics.

Quite honestly when I saw that I was kinda pissed. Nowhere does it state anything about something like a scavenger hunt. Plus the forge chances were about 10 - 15% and the word 'slightly' doesn't help. Seriously, was this their massive update? Higher drop chances so you can fiddle around with forge some more? If so, it got me excited for absolutely nothing.

They are still working on the scavenger hunt aspect. This will suffice for now, I just wish I knew how much they increased it by.

Slightly probably means anything between 5 - 10% increase, which means you now have a chance of about 10.5 - 16.5% :p

Hah more like a 0.001% chance to a 0.005% chance is my guess. Either way I'm still going to try a few, will invest at most 5 gold into this endeavour.

I'm actually starting to give up on this legendary. At this rate I will waste all my time on the legendary's gifts and still not have the bloody precursor by then. The fact that this is based on luck is really starting to irritate me now. I know it's a choice to go after legendaries and not a necessity, so I choose not to care anymore. This is a waste of time imo.

You can make a consortium chest by adding 1 light shoulder skin + 1 medium shoulder skin + 1 heavy shoulder skin +1 shell, the skins from the event of course. You can also do the same with the rebreather skins.

Friend of mine is INSANELY pissed at this "major" update since it has so little actual bug fixes.

They nerfed ele's 0.o

Not that I was using Evasive Arcana at all, but ... goddammit. Warriors actually even got a 10% damage buff to one of their skills ... WAAAIIII!!!???

As If warriors where not raping casters enough in pvp, with 6k burst damage. :/

Did not have it as bad as the rest of the guildies they where having 1-13 FPS I had 20-25 FPS.

So... Wasn't on for phase 3, don't have time to play the next few days. Was phase 3 a lag fest or did I miss something epic?

I just cba to be online at 10pm on a Sunday. I think Friday night's experience put me off the event as a whole.

It's just - really - one time events suck ass. They've never done it in Guild Wars; I don't see why they feel the need to include them in GW2 - it's a shitstorm asking to happen. I would've thought the one-timers they pulled for the BWEs would've showed them that much. All it really does though, is to:

1. Force people to plan their lives around a game
2. Force people to ALL be online at the same time
3. Let people who can't be online at the time, miss out on awesome things.

I don't mind them phasing content in - I'm totally fine with content being phased in over a couple of days, but at least plan events around a week-long window so everyone gets a chance to take part. Halloween showed much better planning overall - despite the fact that there were some one-timers in there, it wasn't a case of miss it and miss out.

Well it was a HUGE fail last night. I have to say all in all this whole damn event was a miserable failure and Arenanet should seriously take a look at how they plan to implement the next one.

Lag wasn't such a big problem last night, but there were so many people that half of them didn't render and the enemies only rendered when they were right on top of you.

People were dying in the hundreds due to the OP nature of the enemies, at one point EVERYONE on the server was wiped. This nonsense dragged on for one hour (an hour in which you get no fucking drops) before we finally finished the first phase. I didn't hang around to see the next slaughter.

All in all, FAIL...

I leave you with this little postcard.

I finished the phase 3 event last night which took 3 long hours. At the end of it all you get to open a huge chest and I got some pretty decent items. But I really hope ArenaNet comes up with something different for their next event because I don't think I'll survive another session like that.

Here is a pic of the final part of the event:

As you can imagine my laptop took a pounding.

They really need to balance the enemies a bit - I'll agree with that. Seriously - I can take on vets with a little bit of trouble, but these ones just one shotted me. The normals were bad enough ... but if I aggroed two or more (and who doesn't aggro an add from time to time with all the dodging), I was dead meat - that little rapid fire skill of theirs usually dropped my hp by 2 thirds.

The timing was terrible - a 3 hour event starting at 10pm? No thanks.

I get what ANet are trying to do. Instead of just dropping an entire new area in our laps they actually present us with a level of progress, so we literally get to see things take shape as they happen, and this is awesome. But, it doesn't help if we don't get to see things happen because of the inevitable rage-quits and/or client-bombs.

I feel that they should have done this over two weeks at least so that more people could participate. If they staggered it I think it would have been more fun.

I agree, it's always the US that are getting the optimal time from these one time events. Also a bunch of precursors where obtained last night from the final boss, I'm rather annoyed by this whole thing...
