Dunno about anyone in my guild working their way through the campaign ... I've got one character near the end of the campaign that still needs to finish.
But there are quite a few guys, both in my guild and alliance who would be willing to help you when and where you need it.
As for local guild ... my guild used to consist of all SA players, but it's pretty much doubled in size now, and we've picked up a lot of foreign players as well. We still have a pretty solid contingent of SA players though, and we'll be happy to have another member.
Our alliance is an international group, but we all get along pretty well ... we're a very chatty bunch. It does depend on whether you want to go Kurzick or Luxon though, our alliance is Luxon - I think Lydon's guild is Kurzick if I remember correctly.
If you're interested in an invite ... I'll be online tonight as one of the following characters:
I don't really think it's all that important which way you decide to go - a lot of guys tend to be specific about which faction the guild they join belongs to ...
Had a bloke once who begged me to make the guild Kurzick and left because I wasn't willing ...
Lol, well if you're working towards a Luxon/Kurzick title, the guild allegiance is important
I have Kurzick rank 9 and am about to get Luxon rank 8. I would probably have Saviour of the Luxons and Kurzicks if it wasn't for me doing all those alliance battles before the faction gain increases came into effect for them. Also did a load of Fort Aspenwood back when you only got 800 faction per win lol.
I'm thinking about getting an updated Guild Wars client at the next OC LAN and giving this game another go. Even if I cant advance my level 15 Monk, I still have a level 20 Warrior and Elementalist to play around with.
Really wish I could have enjoyed GW more than I did.
I just felt no conviction to work towards anything because for me at least, nothing felt worth the effort. I roughly enjoyed my first play-through's for the stories, but I had no real reason to do them in Hard Mode...
I think I should have done more PvP in this game instead of spending the majority of time in the pseudo-MMO singleplayer experience that was PvE. Got so sick of my sole purpose in PvE being about making more gold to make my characters look more pretty.
Ahh well it is all relative, that I know for sure!
I will always jump back on it every few months, since then I feel refreshed and willing to redo a few things.
