:D Well ... I certainly do spend a lot of time saving up gold and materials for elite armor sets, but that's part and parcel of filling up my Hall of Monuments in preparation for the eventual release of GW2.

Also ... I do get a certain measure of satisfaction when I manage to max one of my titles, particularly if its one of the more troublesome ones.
 
Guild Wars just doesn't hide "progression" in the form of higher levels or whatnot. I think that's why some people don't like it - it doesn't lie to them :D

Haha that is likely very true. I love my 'Carrot on a Stick' motivation... man I am shallow :p
 
Holy guacamole! I was lvl 17(39%) last night & faffed around a bit doing arb exploring to new outposts when I decided I'm going to rescue poor Koss over in Nightfallville. So then within a matter of an hour I leveled to 19 (35%)! ! !

You level like mad fast in the other campaigns! It took me more than an evening to clear a whole level otherwise...

Now I don't have to buy that ghei looking gear at the command post anymore & go straight for the elite edition ^_^
 
I have no idea - since everything seems to be looking pretty sailorish on the Ele's :(

I need some help getting kief looking gear.

If I had to choose ele armor, i'd go Obsidian with Red/black dye

ele Obsidian looks *meh*

Everyone else looks completely bad ass. But no. Ele's have to look like Aladin.
 
Good luck getting Obsidian armour anyway :p Lots of saving.

I quite like the Iceforged Armour (so it was once called...think the name may be different). It's shiny and when dyed black looks awesome.
 
So what's the big deal with obsidian - if it adds no stat bonuses over conventional gear? (Especially when it looks miff on some classes)
 
It's simply for bragging rights, as is most gear and items in Guild Wars. You'll get added bonuses in Guild Wars 2 if you add it to your Hall of Monuments.
 
That's right folks ... I whored myself out in Lion's Arch :o

Made myself a killing thanks to Lynus being unable to refuse muh sekzi booty :D
 
lol - speaking of whoring ... I've seen the following scene happen a couple of times.

Ele (or other class that sits on their knees - Japanese style), while a male warrior stands right in front of her and does his dance :D

I'm not sure if I should laugh or be offended sometimes :p
