Guild Wars - General Discussion

So I recently decided to pick the game up again due to HoM -> GW2 stuff, of which I haven't really played since EotN was released and then 2 years later just to find my account hacked and stripped of everything excluding Armor pieces.(Which made me want to play it even less when I tried it again)
So I'm trying to get back into it again, but there is just so much to do, I don't even know where to start. :/
Still need a proper weapon though and trying to find a proper spec for my Ele, been looking at the Searing Flames build, but lacking some key spells/abilities there.(which I'm trying to get)

SF is easy.

Build code SF simple: OgBCoMzDdbs20AAAAlBwAXA

I usually leave two slots open for different title skills. Spam SF and Glowing Glaze along with Liquid Flame when there are groups also roll Meteor Shower to cause knockdown and interrupt.

Been a ele since Prophecies, got all my HoM points from her :)

That'd be awesome, I'm not even sure what I'm currently using, was just equipping something I picked up again.

I've got my Ele since Prophecies as well, I still remember the downloads between zones I had to do on 64k ISDN, oh the horror. :)
 
So for those of you who don't know, and for those of you who are done with the GW2 BWE...

IT'S GUILD WARS' BIRTHDAY!

So yeah, to celebrate this, they're basically having a big ass party till the 8th, special drops and what have you, awesome hound of balthazar pet if you talk to this chicky at embark beach...and my personal favourite allmost all the weekend events is on during this time! That means...double title points, double gold and xp from vanqs and elite captures...Double friggen EVERYTHING.



Also, I'm selling a White Rabbit (unded) EL Razah and El Norgu if anyone is interested :P
 
So yea my interest in GW sparked again and I went from 100 tickets won to 27k tickets won with the help of BlackFang.

Not really sure how to get into a guild if there is still active ones, as I'd actually like to do some of the harder/later stuff if possible.

I started with the NF campaign and I'm actually enjoying it again, cleared like a whole area just to realize I needed Koss in my group. /facepalm

Also still trying to get SF as I don't have it captured yet, some of the wiki maps are confusing. :/

But I'm still amped though so I'll continue and try to complete as much as I can.

I've been getting this weird "bug" though, I'd alt-tab to check something and when I get back into the game, it would feel like I'm lagging really badly, hero's would be bouncing around as well as myself. :/

so like i managed survivor on my main now :p

2 more titles and i ding 45/50 for hom

but for that one has to be a pvp title

zaishen key farming here i come :(

That not so hard, just do some pvp and convert imperial faction into balth faction
 
I still have to manage a Survivor title :(

I'll be working on it for the next couple of weeks - I've created a new character (Dervish) which I've gotten to level 11 so far, and moved over to EotN. I suppose I could do the Kilroy thing to get her to Survivor faster, but that gets boring quickly.
 
or you could just use a main character?

since they changed survivor you now just need to get there without dying. die, xp counter resets and you start over

I've been out of GW for a while, so my main tends to die a lot. Mind you - I could maybe use my secondary - also a dervish. I'll give it a go and see what comes of it :)
 
Sorry to butt in here guys but I've heard that GW2 will have always on DRM, requiring you to be online ALL the time whilst playing

XP scrolls and a Vanquishing helps quite a bit, if I see my death comming I just DC sometimes its too late though. . .
 
I farmed the living day lights out of the rockheads in old ascalon slayers insight scrolls over the bday event where scrolls lasted twice as long. Slayers insight scrolls let you hit the xp gain cap 1400 for bosses and 400 something odd from the rockies
