Guild Wars novel trilogy

Yep, the books are sure going to be some epic reading material. Cannot wait for it.
It may even get more people into GW altogether, which I think will be a plus.

There are some rumors of a movie too, but this is very hush-hush... can you imagine how WTFOMG!! this would be!!
They must just not get Uwe Boll (please, HELL NO!).
They can use Sam Raimi, when he is done with the Warcraft movie. orsm.

As long as these books don't fall into the cliched fantasy that I have grown to despise.

The Chosen One!
The Prophesy!
Destiny!
A Great Evil!
Old Grey Wizards!
The Reluctant Hero!

Bah to it all!!

Give me some gritty fantasy, with real world problems, and a vague sense of good and evil ^_^

Well they'll follow the Guild Wars storyline lol :p

I've been spending a lot of time on the GW2 wiki - reading up on the whole backstory :D

Really hope they get it out before 2011 though - I'll be dead of dehydration if I have to wait that long (all that drooling you know)

And the books will make it worse!! ... I'm still getting them of course!! :p

My Word, man!
GW has one of the most interesting and engrossing story lines, and it is awesome to see them hooking it up in the different games and expansions.
This is all supported by excellent lore.

You could spend days just trawling through all the lore and back-stories. Even your heroes have stories and pasts.

I haven't spent those days yet ... I'm still planning to.

I think I just don't get into online game stories very well. If it was single player it would be another thing.

Before I got Prophecies back in 2006 I spent ages reading through all the lore I could find...on my phone of all things. Good times without ADSL xD
