Guitar Hero 5 PS3 Lag

Hey guys.

I have a question. I only played guitar hero on Xbox previously, the last one being Metallica.

But I recently fired up a borrowed GH5 on the PS3 and find that strangely there seems to be a bit of lag between the music and the notes. I have adjusted the lag in the options menu but still it doesn't really make a difference.

I was wondering if anyone maybe noticed the same as I didn't have this problem on the xbox.

I have adjusted the lag in the options menu but still it doesn't really make a difference.

Then you didn't do it properly. I helped run a GH:WT competition at Coke Fest last year, and I remember us having lag issues with the PS3s, but it's really just a matter of calibrating the game properly in the options menu. Just try calibrating it again.

Whats the reason, generally, for the Lag? Never had an issue before so interested to know why it happens...

Some entertainment systems have lag due to the video data taking longer to display on the screen than what it actually should. So you end up with a system that "assumes" you've seen something already, but it's actually still being handled/processed by your Television / Amplifier for some reason.

Some LCD's need to be set to game mode. I know for my 32' samsung I used to get that lag but once I changed it to game mode, it was fine.

If your TV doesn't have game mode you can set it to "Turbo Boost" but you can only use it once per episode. Oh wait, that's Nightrider.
