Where does one submit ideas to, then? They ask for the public's input on how to do it yet I don't see where to post that input
Personally, I think they should build it like a posable figure and suspend it inside one of those 360 range of motion circle things they use to test astronaut's for getting dizzy or whatnot. I don't think I ever learned the name for that device... But yeah... if they build the entire thing with all moving joints then they just need to also create the world's biggest steel rings and just fix the waist in place.
With only one fixed joint they can use whatever animatronics they have to hand to make the gears turn to move the limbs and by also animating the rings they can make the bloody thing do back flips if they wanted to... Especially if they build the thing from light metal or hard plastics, not bloody 20 tons of steel per finger...
Lol... just imagine an actor from the show making a cameo and doing some punches and stuff with them doing real time motion capturing on him and transferring the raw stream directly to the Gundam... What a sight to see.
If they build it close enough to the stadiums they could even have the Gundam cheering and waving at athletes during events!
