Half-Life 3 at E3? This is what Valve has to say

Maybe they won't announce it but there will be lots of hidden messages among their other displays?

They will announce... Gordon Freeman as a character in DOTA 2...

Excellent idea! What will his spells be?

1: Crowbar stun - incremental damage and stun duration.
2: Concealed trip mine - incremental damage and number of stored mines.
3: Passive HEV suit shield - incremental physical and magic damage resistance.
4: Gravity gun - lift enemy hero into air for a few seconds before flinging them toward a target dealing stun in AOE. If no target is selected, enemy falls to ground dealing stun in AOE.

Pure Gold xD

EDIT: I'm starting to think Valve and the community love this trolling/being trolled game:D

After having a read through the Valve employee manual, in quite a bit of detail, I completely understand WHY we don't have HL3 yet.

Yes, it might be an incredibly intellectually stimulating, rewarding and fun environment to work in, but clearly without a clear direction/focus I can see why the company hasn't really "produced" a game in ages.

PS. At this point in the day I'm too lazy to reconstruct that second sentence to be grammatically correct, so please enjoy the abundant amount of commas with a pinch of salt.
