Halo 4 and some server issues experienced. Thoughts?

So... Everybody were experiencing some server issues on launch day for Halo 4. It was kind of expected, but nevertheless, the game really lived up to my expectation. From the Campaign to matchmaking I was very impressed.

What are your thoughts guys?

Everything they said it would be...

So far so good, didnt have any server issues when I played, did suffer from some lag while playing MP, but that's nothing new.
 
I had one or two disappointments in the MP side when i finished a game and the matchmaking server would drop and i didnt get any points, but the servers are still fresh and being optimized so not really that annoyed so far... quite the opposite actually. This game is everything they said it would be, and everything i hope it would be.

Just trying to pace myself now so i dont nail the campaign too quickly... Playing heroic and roughly one or most of a mission at night then bailing onto the MP side.

I also experienced some teething issues... I've been put into games where I didn't even see the map voting screen. Next thing you know, I'm on Adrift and have been killed twice.

First thing I do is complete at least one campaign mission on Legendary and then then head on over to War games. For me this game is exactly what I hoped for. It's challenging and having Spartan Ops as a weekly task is a great idea. Loving it more every second I spend playing.

That's not necessarily an issue. Unlike previous games, Halo 4 allows you to join multiplayer games already in progress.
 
While playing last night I got put into games a few times. It's actually a very good mechanism that they implemented for Halo 4. It keeps the games full and, if there is a spot open, you can join your teammates who are already in a game.

I'm very impressed with what 343 industries have done.
 
Very true. Firefight with the Promethean enemies would have been very exciting. Something I also miss is SWAT. it'll probably come in a bit later, well I hope so.
 
Someone will make up a SWAT playlist, its only a matter of time before the forums get flooded with requests for it.

Firefight mode will be missed, but in all honestly i never really got into it as much in reach as i did in ODST... so not really too phased about it.
 
Hopefully they'll make it up soon. I've played SWAT in a custom game, but would love it in War games.

On a side note... I watched Linkin park this weekend and it was Epic, but can't wait to get back into the War games action this afternoon.
 
as ive said to all my clan buddies that went to LP... you need to die <3

Played quite a bit of halo this weekend and i must say... if we had better latency we'd be cleaning the floors. many, many times ive been killed because my hit registered after the enemy... Flood game mode in particular (THIS SHIZ IS AMAZING!!!!)

Big Team slayer is also great fun, even tho 90% of the time the only map voted for is Valhalla (or whatever its called now) XD
 
I'm all about Dominion right now. Clocked a couple of hours playing yesterday with my boyfriend and some buddies, and we can't get enough of it. We also put in a few rounds of custom Slayer with random weapons which was loads of the fun stuff.

Apparently the next Spartan Ops episode is scheduled to launch later today.

I havnt even tackled the first episode yet... O_o

Havnt even clocked the campaign yet either to be honest! still pacing myself :p
 
I've also been playing a bit of Dominion and it is really quite something. I've got a file share where we won a Dominion game in less than 2 minutes.

I think I'll spend some time on Spartan Ops this week and see what its all about. Can't wait to get my hands on a specialization though.
