Ha ha. has anyone looked at the Armor effect in the armory? I'm keen on the flying hearts lol

In fire fight and campaign... yeah. MP a little, not so much. :p

I'll switch those on for Multiplayer. For the campaign its a bit daft.

How did you find the MP Sock?
 
I didn't notice any lag last night.

Like i said it was barely noticable. Only reason I suspect it was lag is coz when I played firefight solo while waiting for you the DMR fired faster than during campaign. I pull triger shot fired, in campaign i pull trigger and there was a fraction of a second delay to the shot firing. Same with the assualt rifle, i would tap the trigger for a short burst but would be moving again before it fired. Weird.
 
The MP was awesome - I kinda knew what to expect from a gameplay point of view coz I played the beta. The armor ability is a very welcome feature, still getting to grips with it. I struggled to find local players in matchmaking as a result I had a fair amount of lag which made the MP experience a bit frustrating. Joining a local party and then entering matchmaking was the only solution. I know you mentioned it yesterday and it was true, it took about two or three games to get used to the new controls, kept on doing melee when I wanted to reload :)

All in all im very satisfied with the MP and the game as a whole.

Your thoughts on the co-op campaign?
 
I played matchmaking (Team Slayer) with internationals, and had no discernible lag. And I have the headshot stats to prove it!

Firefight and campaign co-op, on the other hand - massive, massive lag. Pretty much unplayable for me. Looks like I'm going to have to convene a system link for 4-way Legendary.

I know you mentioned it yesterday and it was true, it took about two or three games to get used to the new controls, kept on doing melee when I wanted to reload :)

If you go to the controller settings, try switching to the "Recon" layout. You'll probably find that suits you better. ;P

Hehe yeah those armor abilities are pretty awesome. I like the Dropshield & Hologram ones, which wheren't in the beta.
Grim actually meleed our warthog coz he was trying to get in but did a melee instead.

The co-op was awesome. What you expect from Halo but the AI is fiendishly clever, flanking and sneaking. Also the difficulty now scales depending on how many players there are. Will have to compare co-op to solo to see the diff. I did notice one thing that goes against the fiction... an Elite using a warthog chaingun. In the books it says how Elites would fight barehanded rather than pick up a fully loaded rifle at their feet.

Overall very awesome.
