This is a nice chart for those who don't have a brand preference.
Personally, I'll never buy another WD or "green" drive again in my life. They've all had problems. Seagate/Maxtor non-green drives are the only ones that I have never had a problem with. But everyone has their own brand that dies on them. Whenever people ask me which I recommend, I tell them just to start with whichever is the best deal, and find your "reliable" brand on your own.
