Hardest Game Ever Played

Grim Fandango was also pretty hard I spent 13hrs solid playing that game with my friend using a walkthrough everytime we go to a point where we sat for like 20min trying to figure out what to do next lol... :p and Contra was only had if you played on ur own but very easy when its with a friend because the game never changed difficulty when ur friend joined in :p
 
Some of those old NES, SNES and Sega games were all crazy difficult. However there was one of the earlier Alone in the Dark games on PC that I tried and I tried and tried and after hours of just dying the whole time I uninstalled it.

I was thinking of giving it a try again... but this time while using a walkthrough.

Ok yeah I can understand, sometimes if I struggle to much I just alt+f4.

Argh frustrating memories, I always ended up broke as $h!t or my buildings don't get to be as extravagant as in the screenshots:(.
Still liked playing city builders though.

one of the Hardest games is Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (Arcade version) I was Never able to beat Gouki. super Mario Bros ! try Getting to 8.4 without warp zones
 
Tetris. I don;t know of anyone who has finished this game.


Seriously though, the games which have given me the most difficulty are:

Total Annihilation [couldn't finish]
The Secret of Monkey Island [couldn't finish]
Quest for Glory 2,3,4 [Couldn't finish]
Quake [took me a while to work out how to kill Shub Niggurath]
Velnor's Lair [took me months]
Message from Andromeda [likewise]
God of War [gave up]
Honeycomb Beat [persevering]
Half Life [got stuck]

I could go on, but that would be cruel.
 
I'v never played a game I haven't been able to finish, on that point, I haven't played that many games
 
I'm pretty good at games...no, I'm persistent with games, I suck at them though. But I can try time and time again before giving up.

But one game I will never finish. Zork. I can't finish that damn game.

God of War wasn't that bad on my second try I was able to defeat Ares. Even my sister was able to finish the game.
 
You gave up on God of War? Noooo.

It wasn't that bad!

Monkey Island I'll give you - I did finish it but it was pretty tough.
 
Doom II co-op multiplayer. A lot more monsters than normal, and a lot more dieing. I recall on one level having a cyberdemon at the level starting area. Took about 10 minutes and 100 deaths to kill it. While difficult, it was a lot of fun and I would do it again. I even managed to telefrag a cyberdemon once :D.

Any game that has no speed control and running on a machine that is too fast. I remember an old game called Berzerk that was too fast on a 386SX.
 
hhmmm, can't really think of any hard games.
I seem to remember struggling my ass off with a Rainbow 6 game, one of the Tom Clancy ones... I was playing on hard difficulty

Ye it's flippen irritating. Takes me about 5 tries to finish a race...and then you end up finishing 1st/2nd. Stupid crashes.

But seriously ... Karateka the OLD nintendo game was still friggen impossible.

The invention of the "SAVE GAME" option changed gaming completely!
 
That's the whole point behind Grid, I thnk its an absolutly fantastic game!!
My bro in law hates racing against me..I always end up driving circles around him..lol!!
It is a hard game but practice makes perfect!!
