Hardrive prices on the decline

Picked up a Seagate 1TB drive for just over R600 the other day. There definitely is a decline in prices, but it looks like Incredible Connection didn't get the memo, in their latest pamphlet they are advertising R1099 for the exact same drive.

Completely disagree. Bought a 2TB 7200RPM drive 2months ago for R1150 and prices are either similar or even more. Seems that some shops are only deciding to drop theirs prices now.

Where did you buy that? Been checking my supplier pricelists (Rectron, Corex, Esquire, Pinacle, etc) for the last two months now and all of them that had 2TB 7200RPM drives were selling them for over R2200.

Last week I finally settled on buying a Seagate 5900RPM 2TB at Corex for R1370.

I hope that drive didn't fall to far off the back of that bakkie, could have damaged the heads

Wow I just bought a 1tb from Matrix Warehouse. But I think its only a 5400RPM drive, but its fine for storing my stuff. Wish I saw that one from Take 2 sooner.

Was a special but ja. You can still get a 2TB 7200RPM for R1.5k and lots of stores

Dude please. Name one store that is selling a 2TB 7200RPM for R1.5k incl VAT............ just one.

The cheapest I've found NOW is at PCInt. And that's a Western Digital 2TB 7200RPM for R1549 EXCLUDING VAT.
